   Project scale: 300,000 t/a polyester chips.
    As the raw material for polyester fibres and bottles, polyester chips are widely used in chemical textile and packaging of foodstuff and medical products. According to statistics, the demand for polyester chips from Zhejiang and Jiangsu alone accounted for at least 60% of the national total in the first haft of 2004. Mitsubishi Chemical Co., Ltd. (Japan) has launched a 600,000 t/a PTA plant in Daxie Development, whose capacity is to increase to 2,000,000 t/a in time. Therefore the products from this project may serve the nearby market demand. Besides, raw material supply is abundant and stable.
    Annual sales income is forecasted at RMB 3 million and annual profit at RMB 80 million.

   The Economic Development Bureau under the Administrative Committee of Daxie Development Zone is responsible the investment promotion and related service for the project.

Project location & geographic advantage

    The project is located in Daxie Development Zone, a State-level development zone featuring petrochemical industry, port warehousing and so on. The Zone is about 40km from Ningbo city proper. After ten years of construction and development, the Zone has developed complete infrastructure and convenient transportations as well as the cargo collection and distribution network featuring marine transportation. The Zone encourages polyester related products and will offer various preferential policies to them.
